Open Cellar Geneva 2026

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, Geneva’s winemakers invite you to the 39th edition of the Geneva Open Cellars. This emblematic event celebrates each year the connection between city and countryside, at the heart of Geneva’s wine-growing region.

As Switzerland’s third-largest wine canton, Geneva stands out for the diversity of its landscapes and terroirs. The vineyard stretches across the hillsides of the Mandement, the villages between the Arve and Rhône rivers, and the region between the Arve and Lake Geneva. From Satigny to Jussy, passing through Dardagny, Bernex, Soral, and Anières, each area reveals its own identity and a rich diversity of grape varieties.

For one day, more than 70 wineries will open their doors to showcase the 2025 vintage as well as the 2024 barrel-aged wines. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore Geneva’s wine villages, meet the winemakers, and discover the many expressions of the canton’s wines.

The day pass, available directly at the wineries for CHF 20.–, takes the form this year of an original badge designed by internationally renowned press cartoonist Patrick Chappatte, who also created the official poster for this edition. The pass also includes the traditional engraved tasting glass bearing the canton’s coat of arms, designed for an optimal tasting experience.

Several Geneva Artisanes du Vin will be there to welcome you and share their wines:

Between the Jura mountains, the Prealps, and Lake Geneva, the Geneva vineyard offers a remarkable diversity of styles and terroirs. Chasselas, Chardonnay, Gamay, and more confidential grape varieties can be discovered throughout the wineries and encounters, in a warm and festive atmosphere.

Practical information, participating wineries, and event details are available on Genève Terroir.
