Ticino Open Cellars 2026
On May 16 and 17, 2026, Ticino welcomes you for a weekend of discovery in the heart of its vineyards, between Lugano and Mendrisio, in the Sottoceneri region.
Over two days, numerous wineries open their doors from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, inviting you to step into the cellars, walk through the vineyards, and explore the latest vintages. It is a chance to slow down, taste, exchange, and gain a deeper understanding of the work behind each bottle.
Ticino offers a distinctive expression of Swiss wine. Merlot holds a central place here, alongside other grape varieties that reflect the diversity of the terroirs and the influence of a southern climate. Between sunlit hills and landscapes opening toward the south, each estate reveals its own relationship to the land, to craftsmanship, and to time.
Among the participating winemakers, two members of Nous Artisanes du Vin open their doors and share their world:
- Miriam Hermann-Gaudio | I Vini di Miriam, Castello di Monteggio
- Cristina Monico | Fattoria Moncucchetto, Lugano
Their presence offers a meaningful entry point into thoughtful and committed approaches to winemaking, as well as cuvées with a strong and distinctive identity.
The Ticino Open Cellars invite you to explore a region at the crossroads of Swiss and Italian influences, where wine is both experienced and enjoyed.
